“Is This World Important?”
20101009 Mannah: The more that I search for The Holiness of My Father, the more I pull away from ‘this reality’ as I am ever searching for His Peace, and in ‘this reality’ there is no peace that I see. So I am asking the question, “Is this world important? And should I be concerned with what is happening here?”
My first impulse is to say that I don’t care about this world, but is that right? I just want to escape. But then that puts me back again, looking for some type of rapture doesn’t it? God forbid, I think we better take another look at this.
If it were not important, then why would Jesus have come? Was this world important to him? Was what happened here, important to him? It is written, that he wept over his people that were supposed to show the way for the rest of the world, but turned away, feeling that who they were was more important than the world they were supposed to be an example to. Oh Lord, is that what I am doing?
He healed those that came to him for healing.
Does it matter if Kennedy is shot or the World Trade Center falls? Is loss of life insignificant?
I find that I do care, very much so, but I feel so helpless to change things that I am all too willing to escape within my own thoughts, wanting to be absorbed into My God’s Consciousness. But is that what My God’s Plan is for me?
That time will come, yes,…BUT Not as long as there is one left that does not know who they are and Who Their God Is.
“Father, I believe. Help my unbelief.”
Yes this world is important, because it is important, within this world system to show that Death and Destruction IS NOT THE WILL OF MY GOD! I see no peace because I make no peace!
I am embarrassed to say that I have taken pleasure in the god of war represented in the Hebrew Bible. Killing seemed to be the perfect answer for those that hadn’t been chosen.
Then comes Jesus…very confusing.
